To open the 2024 season, we have gone through our collection and put together a very special art exhibit to showcase paintings that have been donated to the Museum over the years. The exhibit will run from May 1st – 28th.  Come and enjoy these treasures; you never know what you might see!

Carol Ann Cole is coming home to Middleton!

On May 28^th you will find her in our museum to launch her first non-fiction in over a decade.  Learning to Slow Dance with Footprints of Kindness revisits Carol Ann’s life successes, and experiences that proved to be less than memorable.  She has learned from both. ‘There is clarity that comes with being a septuagenarian looking back at your life.’

Following the lifting of COVID restrictions a few years ago, Carol An has spent considerable time in her happy place: Nova Scotia, and particularly the Annapolis Valley. This is where her book took a life of its own.

Carol Ann writes in detail about her first love and how what seemed to be so right turned out to be less than that…. Additionally, she outlines a few of her many life connections first explored in Wilmot walking to and from the Wilmot school house with her friends. ‘I didn’t recognize these skills at the time, but they are the foundation of every success I have had.  Examples: Life can change in a minute.  Soft skills matter. Hating only hurts the hater. Keep your mask and Cancer is a beast.

Not afraid to share, Carol Ann has invited several of her fellow septuagenarians to put pen to paper and share one or two lessons they have learned through their life journey to date.

‘My hope is that you will see Learning to Slow Dance with Footprints of Kindness as your own personal journal. Make notes along the way to add stories you might like to share with your own family and friends. I have left room for you throughout the book.’

He’s made sure that his museum and all the artwork are protected from thieves like your gang. He’s placed traps, challenges and puzzles so that everything stays locked down when he’s not there. Can you solve the puzzles, find the painting and get out before William arrives?
